Peatland Projects
The Climate Concept Foundation supports climate change mitigation projects which reduce greenhouse gases or store them in the ground or in plants, respectively. Therefore, the foundation focuses on the preservation and renaturation of peatlands. Even though just 3 percent of the worldwide land area is covered with peatlands, their capacity to store greenhouse gases is enormous: They serve as a sink for about one-third of the underground greenhouse gases on earth! For more information about our peatland projects please visit our German website regarding this topic.
Quality Standards
